General Physiologist

Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of physiological tests including cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological evaluations
• Interpret test results and provide detailed reports
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients on their conditions and management strategies
• Maintain and calibrate diagnostic equipment
• Assist in invasive cardiac procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angiographies, and electrophysiology studies
• Work closely with cardiologists to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment

Requirements

• Degree in Clinical Physiology or a related field
• Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., RCCP or AHCS)
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the NHS
• Proficiency in performing and interpreting physiological tests
• Experience in invasive cardiac procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of current physiological care guidelines
