General Operative/Labourer

Responsibilities

• Assist with various tasks on construction sites, including digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials
• Provide support to skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers
• Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, removing obstacles, and setting up equipment
• Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently under supervision
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and report any hazards or incidents promptly
• Assist with general site maintenance, cleaning, and tidying

Requirements

• Valid CSCS card is essential
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
• Strong health and safety awareness and a commitment to a safe work environment
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
• Strong work ethic, proactive approach, and good time management skills
• Excellent communication skills and professional conduct
