General Manager Trans Solutions II

Responsibilities

• Maximize operational and financial performance of the site through strategic leadership and tactical management.
• Manage customer expectations, resolve issues, and develop logistics strategies to create cost-effective supply chains.
• Lead Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBR/QBR) and manage carrier relationships.
• Support carrier development, including managing bid events and securing quotes and pricing.
• Oversee site P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes.
• Lead, motivate, and develop associates through performance reviews and succession planning.
• Ensure a safe, secure, and compliant work environment in accordance with company policies and standard operating procedures.
• Provide subject matter expertise regarding managed transportation capabilities and strategies.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Transportation, Logistics, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of experience in domestic and/or international Supply Chain or Transportation operations.
• Experience in domestic logistics (TL, LTL, Intermodal, Rail, Parcel) or international logistics (Freight Forwarding, Ocean, Air, Customs).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, or Business.
• Experience in a Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Transportation Management role.
• Experience in Call Center or Control Tower environments.
• Previous experience within DHL Supply Chain sectors or organizations.
