General Manager – Renewable Energy (Techno-Commercial)

Responsibilities

• Lead techno-commercial evaluation of solar and wind power projects, including feasibility, CAPEX/OPEX estimates, and IRR assessment.
• Support bidding activities for government and private sector projects and evaluate PPAs, open access, and group captive structures.
• Coordinate with EPC vendors, consultants, DISCOMs, and regulatory authorities to ensure project compliance and smooth power evacuation.
• Review technical specifications, BOQs, tender documents, and commercial proposals.
• Monitor project costs, timelines, and contractual deliverables to ensure commercial alignment.
• Work closely with finance teams on project budgeting, cash flow planning, and lender coordination.
• Manage regulatory approvals and stay updated on renewable energy policies and tariffs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the renewable energy, power, or infrastructure sector.
• B.Tech / BE in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or Civil engineering.
• MBA in Finance, Operations, or Power Management.
• Strong understanding of PPAs, open access, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience in bid management, project costing, and commercial negotiations.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional exposure to project finance or regulatory matters.
• Experience managing multiple renewable energy projects and SPVs simultaneously.
