General Manager, North America

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the North America organization by attracting, retaining, and growing a world-class team across the US and Canada
• Own and execute the North America Go-to-Market strategy across Enterprise, SMB, and Platform segments
• Manage full P&L responsibilities for the region, driving revenue growth, margin expansion, and operational efficiency
• Serve as the primary spokesperson for Airwallex in North America with media, regulators, customers, and partners
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmap localization and ensure product-market fit
• Oversee daily operations including customer onboarding, support, compliance, and risk management

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in payments, fintech, financial services, or the tech industry
• Proven experience leading and scaling high-growth startups, preferably in a leadership role with P&L responsibility
• Demonstrated success in managing complex projects, teams, and cross-functional execution
• Bachelor's or Master's degree from a tertiary institution is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep understanding of the US and/or Canadian fintech and payments regulatory landscape
• Experience across the full GTM motion, including sales, partnerships, marketing, and operations
• Experience with licensing, compliance, or managing partnerships with regulated entities in North America
• Experience as a country manager or in market entry and growth strategy formation
