General Manager – Mining

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all mining activities at Weld Range to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable operations.
• Deliver production, cost, and performance outcomes in alignment with business objectives, budgets, and life-of-mine plans.
• Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Drive operational excellence through effective contractor management and productivity initiatives.
• Partner with Mining, Port, and Road Logistics leaders to optimize the integrated mine-to-port supply chain.
• Manage operational budgets and financial performance to maximize value and efficiency.
• Contribute to the Fenix Leadership Team by providing strategic input to support company growth objectives.

Requirements

• Extensive senior leadership experience within open pit mining operations.
• Proven track record of delivering strong safety, production, and financial outcomes.
• Strong commercial and operational acumen, including experience managing large budgets.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the business.
• Strategic thinking capabilities to support long-term business growth and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in iron ore mining operations.
