General Manager

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, lead, and motivate the team through effective performance coaching and training
• Deliver the Herman Miller Client Experience by coaching teams in sales, demonstrations, and quoting
• Manage store revenue and execute the sales plan to drive growth
• Oversee studio operations, including scheduling, managing shipments, and expense control
• Ensure high standards of visual merchandising and presentation according to brand directives
• Handle performance management and employee relations in partnership with HR and the Regional Manager

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of retail management experience
• Proven people management skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong financial literacy and business acumen to manage budgetary responsibilities
• Proficiency with POS systems and MS Office software
• Experience with 3-D rendering programs
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to routinely move objects weighing more than 20 pounds
