General Manager

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, lead, and motivate the team through effective performance coaching and training
• Deliver the Herman Miller Client Experience by coaching teams in demonstrations, quoting, and sales
• Manage store revenue and operational procedures, including scheduling, shipments, and expense control
• Ensure the studio maintains high presentation standards using visual directives and standards manuals
• Execute the sales plan and manage performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Resolve employee relations issues in partnership with Human Resources

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of retail management experience
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Financial literacy and business acumen with the ability to manage budgetary responsibilities
• Proficiency with POS systems, MS Office, and web navigation
• Experience with 3-D rendering programs
• Ability to routinely move objects weighing more than 20 pounds
