General Manager

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, lead, and motivate the team through effective performance coaching and training
• Deliver the Herman Miller Client Experience by coaching teams in demonstrations and sales
• Manage store revenue, sales plans, and operational procedures to maximize profit
• Oversee visual merchandising and studio presentation according to brand standards
• Manage controllable expenses, scheduling, and store shipments
• Handle employee relations and performance management in partnership with HR

Requirements

• 3-5 years of retail management experience
• Proven people management skills and ability to lead in a team environment
• Strong financial literacy and business acumen to manage budgetary responsibilities
• Proficiency with POS systems and MS Office software
• Experience with 3-D rendering programs
• Ability to routinely move objects weighing more than 20 pounds
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
