General Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee business operations for Citizen's House of Blues to ensure compliance with Live Nation standards and policies
• Establish and maintain high standards of customer service for staff, customers, and vendors
• Identify and maximize revenue drivers while optimizing the guest and artist experience
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Food and Beverage teams to drive incremental revenue and engagement
• Manage overall expenses and budgets to maximize profitability
• Hire, train, and schedule full and part-time employees and manage third-party vendors
• Coordinate event set-up, settlement, and day-of-event activities
• Manage relationships with the City of Boston and other civic governmental departments
• Oversee food, beverage, and merchandise performance and strategies

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a General Manager or Operations Manager in a live music venue or hospitality business
• Extensive background in event sales and promotion
• Expertise in profitability analysis and budgeting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven problem-solving skills in both immediate and long-term situations
• Excellent working knowledge of Health & Safety standards
