About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee business operations for Citizen's House of Blues to ensure compliance with Live Nation standards and policies
- Establish and maintain high standards of customer service for staff, customers, and vendors
- Identify and maximize revenue drivers while optimizing the guest and artist experience
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Food and Beverage teams to drive incremental revenue and engagement
- Manage overall expenses and budgets to maximize profitability
- Hire, train, and schedule full and part-time employees and manage third-party vendors
- Coordinate event set-up, settlement, and day-of-event activities
- Manage relationships with the City of Boston and other civic governmental departments
- Oversee food, beverage, and merchandise performance and strategies
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a General Manager or Operations Manager in a live music venue or hospitality business
- Extensive background in event sales and promotion
- Expertise in profitability analysis and budgeting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven problem-solving skills in both immediate and long-term situations
- Excellent working knowledge of Health & Safety standards
