General Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the contract, guiding the mobilisation and transition into full operational service.
• Ensure full compliance with all statutory, mandatory, and contractual obligations, including healthcare-specific standards.
• Deliver technical leadership across all engineering disciplines to ensure readiness of all systems and asset data.
• Hold full accountability for contract P&L, cost control, budget management, and long-term financial planning.
• Lead and develop a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team while fostering a safety-first culture.
• Act as the senior representative for Kier, building collaborative relationships with the Health Board, Project Co, and supply chain.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a senior FM leadership role within complex or critical environments.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale FM contracts within PFI, PPP, or MIM structures.
• Strong technical background in hard FM or building services engineering, with a mechanical or electrical bias.
• Demonstrable experience managing mobilisation, transition, PPM, lifecycle, and statutory compliance.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&L and contract performance.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience leading large teams and specialist subcontractors.
