General Manager for Private Animal Holdings

About the Company

Klelund Dyrehave is an ambitious nature restoration project in the heart of Jutland, where nature is the top priority. The estate also serves as a private setting for the owner family's daily life and private animal holdings, requiring a high level of professionalism, discretion, and respect for all living beings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations, coordination, and quality assurance of the private animal holdings
• Manage a team consisting of six animal keepers and one team leader
• Ensure the physical health, mental balance, and natural needs of animals (including Icelandic horses, sheep, dogs, cats, and terrarium animals)
• Act as a key link between the owner, management, employees, veterinarians, and advisors
• Plan, prioritize, and manage staffing and daily workflows

Requirements

• Relevant animal science education (e.g., animal keeper, agricultural technologist, veterinary nurse, or veterinarian)
• Solid experience in environments where animal welfare and operational reliability are critical
• Documented experience in leadership, coordination, and practical operations
• Experience with horses and equine behavior is a significant advantage
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• High level of integrity, discretion, and situational awareness
• Ability to work professionally within a private family setting
