General Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee all resort operations including front-of-house and back-of-house departments
• Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve revenue targets and optimize profitability
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of department heads and staff
• Manage the resort's budget, financial performance, and P&L statements
• Maintain and enhance guest satisfaction by establishing high service standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and travel partners
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies
• Oversee marketing initiatives and brand positioning
• Conduct regular performance reviews and implement training programs
• Manage crisis situations and implement effective problem-solving strategies

Requirements

• Fluency in German (written and spoken) is a critical requirement
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience in luxury hotel or resort operations
• Proven track record of managing P&L, budgets, and financial performance
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinking and business acumen
• In-depth knowledge of hospitality industry standards and procedures
• Proficiency in hospitality management systems and Microsoft Office
• Understanding of German business culture and communication styles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in luxury resort management within the Middle East or North Africa region
• Familiarity with the Egyptian hospitality market and local business practices
• Experience managing German-speaking guest demographics or German tour operators
