General Maintenance Worker

Responsibilities

• Maintain and replace light fixtures, motors, and use joint compound for wall and ceiling repairs
• Repair or replace sink faucets, water coolers, toilets, and urinals
• Paint structures and equipment
• Repair or replace stone pavers, steps, doors, door locks, and window cranks
• Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery
• Manage lighting changes and drain maintenance
• Perform housekeeping of mechanical spaces and rooms
• Move furniture and equipment
• Execute semiskilled and skilled duties in other maintenance trade areas

Requirements

• Valid NM driver’s license
• Ability to climb ladders, crouch, crawl, and handle objects
• Ability to pick up and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
• Practical skill and knowledge in painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, masonry, and electrical work
• Ability to maintain a consistent state of alertness and work safely
