General Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs in accordance with work orders and campus priorities
• Replace and repair fixtures and fittings associated with campus plumbing
• Perform electrical wiring, carpentry work, and equipment maintenance
• Assist with the maintenance and control of various campus equipment
• Execute daily and seasonal general maintenance duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in building maintenance, housekeeping, or construction
• Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, and machinery
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds
• Ability to climb stairs and work in various physical conditions/temperatures
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive various vehicle types
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions or blueprints
