General Maintenance Technician I

Responsibilities

• Perform facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs to pumps, ventilation, and other facility equipment
• Analyze maintenance repair requests to identify problems and implement effective solutions
• Monitor industrial utility equipment such as air compressors, boilers, water testing, and oil samples
• Collect and record data related to facility and utility equipment performance
• Identify and correct safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to prevent failures
• Work various shifts, including 2nd shift, weekends, and holidays as required to support 24/7 operations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to climb extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs
• Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights of 30 feet or higher
• Ability to pass a pre-employment substance abuse test and obtain a security access badge

• Mechanical and/or electrical skills
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot facility and utility equipment in an industrial environment
