About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance, repair, and installation tasks to ensure safe and continuous operation of facility systems
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of wiring, circuits, panels, breakers, and lighting systems
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks and calibrate electrical equipment to ensure compliance with technical specifications
- Assist in the installation or modification of electrical systems using blueprints, engineering drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Enforce electrical safety standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain detailed technical documentation and records of all repairs, replacements, and inspections
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience in electrical service and maintenance
- Journeyman-level certification and licensure in electrical systems
- Active TS/SCI with poly clearance
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA regulations
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces or varying temperature extremes
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Technical Certification in Electrical Systems or Electrical Engineering Technology
- Experience working in mission-critical environments such as government facilities, industrial plants, or data centers
- Familiarity with SCADA systems or Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Additional certifications in renewable energy systems or energy efficiency practices
