General Maintenance Technician (Electrical)

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance, repair, and installation tasks to ensure safe and continuous operation of facility systems
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of wiring, circuits, panels, breakers, and lighting systems
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks and calibrate electrical equipment to ensure compliance with technical specifications
• Assist in the installation or modification of electrical systems using blueprints, engineering drawings, and wiring diagrams
• Enforce electrical safety standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain detailed technical documentation and records of all repairs, replacements, and inspections

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years of experience in electrical service and maintenance
• Journeyman-level certification and licensure in electrical systems
• Active TS/SCI with poly clearance
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA regulations
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces or varying temperature extremes

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Technical Certification in Electrical Systems or Electrical Engineering Technology
• Experience working in mission-critical environments such as government facilities, industrial plants, or data centers
• Familiarity with SCADA systems or Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Additional certifications in renewable energy systems or energy efficiency practices
