General Maintenance Associate

Responsibilities

• Repair facility overhead doors, warehouse areas, and LTL docks using welding, electrical installation, and motor replacement
• Install and repair tractor-trailer electrical outlets and facility lighting
• Perform grounds upkeep including mowing, landscaping, and snow and ice removal
• Maintain facility plumbing, including bathrooms, yard drains, and fuel island pumps
• Identify and fix roofing leaks and repair or replace downspouts
• Diagnose and repair heating and cooling systems, including air ducts and motors
• Assist company mechanics with tractor and trailer repairs, such as tire replacement and electrical work
• Prepare warehouses for inspections by weatherproofing docks and repairing door sweeps

Requirements

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced transportation and logistics environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of maintenance experience
