General Ledger Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for the Mexico region
• Prepare and review general ledger journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments
• Execute and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Analyze variances and provide detailed explanations to management and controllership
• Support financial statement preparation in accordance with IFRS standards
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate accounting policies, and audit processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and local stakeholders
• Utilize SAP FI module for all accounting activities and ensure data integrity across systems
• Drive process improvements and standardization within the Shared Service Center environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in General Ledger (GL) or Record-to-Report (R2R) processes
• Advanced proficiency in SAP, specifically the FI (Financial Accounting) module
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
• Fluent Spanish and English level B2

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a Shared Service Center (SSC) environment
• Previous experience supporting Mexico-based operations
