General Ledger (GL) Accountant

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close tasks for assigned entities
• Prepare and post standard journal entries, including cash, payroll, and accruals
• Process intercompany transactions and ensure alignment with elimination rules
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations with clear documentation and support
• Support monthly balance sheet reviews and document variances for management
• Provide documentation and support for external audits to ensure audit readiness
• Act as a subject matter expert for Oracle GL to improve financial reporting accuracy

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a similar field
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience at a global enterprise
• 1-2 years of experience in month-end close activities
• Working knowledge of Oracle ERP or comparable systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of US GAAP
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting
• Proficiency in Polish, Swedish, or German
