General Ledger Accountant

Responsibilities

• Record, analyze, and reconcile accounting transactions for supported business units
• Perform month-end close activities to meet reporting deadlines
• Prepare routine journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
• Research accounting issues and recommend corrective actions
• Review transactions to ensure appropriate accounting treatment
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Collaborate with business partners to deliver efficient, accurate, and compliant accounting
• Develop and document processes as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
• Or a Graduate Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
• Or a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Ability to communicate effectively across multiple locations and time zones

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Proficiency with Deltek CostPoint
• Public accounting or auditing experience
• CPA certification or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Alteryx
• Experience with continuous improvement and process development
