General Ledger Accountant

Responsibilities

• Contribute to monthly and year-end closing activities for the General Ledger module
• Prepare and post accounting entries in the accounting software
• Perform regular integrity checks of accounting entries and account balances
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Perform and document controls as described in the closing checklist
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting transactions following financial procedures
• Maintain up-to-date files and proper documentation for audit purposes
• Identify anomalies or issues and propose effective solutions
• Provide support and explanations for general ledger-related accounting inquiries
• Implement and ensure respect for financial procedures and guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License
• Minimum of three years of experience in general and financial accounting
• Proficiency in ERP systems, specifically Peoplesoft or JD Edwards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Amenability to work onsite in Makati, Philippines
