General Labourer

Responsibilities

• Clean plant and work areas as necessary
• Operate under the direction of plant supervision and Shift Supervisors
• Assist with non-mechanical duties such as screen installation
• Follow lockout procedures and ensure all guards are in place
• Maintain and use assigned PPE and tool kits
• Ensure work areas are safe and free of debris
• Report dust emissions, fluid spills, leaks, or unsafe conditions immediately
• Assist plant personnel with production when needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months of experience as a Labourer
• Experience handling mini equipment like a telehandler or backhoe

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a steel mill
