About the role
Responsibilities
- Operating torch cutting equipment to process and prepare scrap materials
- Draining fluids from end-of-life vehicles following environmental procedures
- Sorting and processing wire and mine loads
- Identifying and organizing non-ferrous and ferrous materials
- Loading and unloading materials using forklifts and site equipment
- Maintaining a safe and clean work area
- Assisting with general yard operations
Requirements
- Previous experience operating a forklift
- Previous experience in metal recycling or an industrial environment
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive lifting up to 50lbs
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
Benefits
- Hourly pay starting at CAD 25.75/hr plus overtime after 44 hours
