General Helper/Dishwasher

Responsibilities

• Wash, scrub, clean, and sanitize designated kitchen areas and equipment
• Keep kitchen organized and clean floors through sweeping and mopping
• Clean refrigerators, ovens, and other kitchen equipment
• Wash pots, dishes, glasses, and cups after meals
• Perform deep cleaning of dish machines and ovens on a daily/weekly basis
• Maintain storage rooms, fridges, and freezers
• Maintain cleaning records and logs
• Manage garbage room and sort waste streams
• Utilize WINNOW system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year kitchen or catering experience in food service or hospitality
• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills
• Food Safe Level I certification
• Ability to obtain 80% or higher on mandatory WHMIS test
• Physically capable of a demanding job
• Able to lift, carry, and push up to 25lbs for long periods
• Full availability required

Preferred Qualifications

• Safe Check advanced food safety certification
• HACCP certification
