General Foreperson

Responsibilities

• Supervise line clearance crews and enforce supervisory and economic work practices
• Coordinate and monitor daily on-site progress to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and within budget
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to crew operations and performance
• Interpret tree trimming, removal, and chemical application orders, including technical drawings and symbols
• Conduct safety training, including tailgate training and safety stands downs, in accordance with legislation
• Investigate accident reports, damage claims, and near misses
• Mentor and train new employees while evaluating crew performance for promotion opportunities
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, utility representatives, and the general public

Requirements

• Proven experience in crew supervision and personnel management
• Strong understanding of safety training protocols and workplace health and safety regulations
• Ability to maintain detailed records and project documentation
• Proficiency in project coordination and resource management
• Ability to work in environments with excessive noise and outdoor conditions
• Willingness to travel and remain on duty during emergencies or natural disasters
