About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in the administration of the sport and the management of the team
- Organize and conduct effective practice sessions
- Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes
- Work closely with the Athletic Training office to ensure ongoing athlete care
- Uphold Cascade Collegiate Conference and NAIA rules and regulations
- Demonstrate commitment to the University's Christian mission and lifestyle standards
- Follow departmental policies regarding budget administration, expenditures, and fundraising
Requirements
- Experience in collegiate sports or high school coaching
- Ability to travel 50-75% during the competitive season
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and project implementation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse range of people
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience specifically in a collegiate environment
- Experience in recruiting student-athletes
- Bachelor's degree
