General Assistant Coach

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in the administration of the sport and the organization of practice sessions
• Demonstrate commitment to the University mission and uphold Christian liberal arts values
• Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and work with the Athletic Training office for athlete care
• Ensure compliance with University, Conference, and NAIA rules and regulations
• Manage departmental tasks including budget administration, expenditures, and fundraising as assigned
• Foster an inclusive environment that respects human differences and promotes good sportsmanship

Requirements

• Experience participating in collegiate sports or coaching at the high school or collegiate level
• Ability to travel 50-75% during the competitive season
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to implement projects independently
• Commitment to a Christ-centered lifestyle and the University's mission

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience specifically within a collegiate environment
• Experience in student-athlete recruitment
• Bachelor's degree
