General Assembly Quality Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems to ensure products meet customer expectations
• Manage and guide quality control inspectors and technicians in performing inspections, testing, and audits
• Analyze quality control data and generate reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Collaborate with production teams to implement process improvements and reduce waste
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Maintain accurate documentation related to inspection records, test results, and corrective actions
• Manage, train, and develop the quality control team
• Work with Engineering and Logistics to address customer complaints and implement CAPA
• Prepare and present regular quality reports and KPIs to senior management

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in automotive production or quality control
• Hands-on experience with general assembly products and processes
• Proven experience with VDA standards
• Bachelor’s degree in automotive or engineering field preferred
• In-depth knowledge of automotive processes, products, and materials
• Proficiency in quality control software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with process improvement, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies
• Hands-on experience with electrical systems and mechanical assembly techniques
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience launching Greenfield or Brownfield plants
• Strong understanding of QMS standards
• Expertise in process auditing techniques
