General Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute the comprehensive Record to Report process, including general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Ensure strict adherence to monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing processes
• Conduct thorough analysis of retail/wholesale financial data, including sales, inventory, COGS, and vendor transactions
• Perform rigorous account reconciliations for intercompany transactions, accruals, and fixed assets
• Prepare and review balance sheet and P&L account analyses
• Provide support for internal and external audits by furnishing detailed documentation
• Collaborate with wholesale operations, procurement, and inventory teams to resolve discrepancies
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within the R2R cycle
• Maintain compliance with IFRS and company policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CMA/CA strongly preferred)
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Record to Report or financial accounting
• Experience in retail or wholesale industries
• Expert-level proficiency in ERP and financial reporting systems such as SAP or Tagetik
• Advanced Excel skills and experience in complex data analysis
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and relevant tax regulations
