General Accountant

About the Company

SMAC is a collective of over 2,500 employees tackling technical challenges in building envelopes. With a network of over 60 establishments, SMAC operates in metropolitan France, overseas territories, and internationally including Morocco, Chile, Peru, and Spain.

Responsibilities

• Record bank flows and manage bank reconciliations
• Handle group re-invoicing
• Manage payroll journal entries and reconciliation
• Manage fixed assets including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation campaigns
• Prepare tax filings (VAT, CVAE, IS, etc.)
• Participate in monthly and annual closings (P&L cut-off, general and analytical account analysis, account justification)
• Collaborate with statutory auditors
• Participate in continuous process improvement

Requirements

• Higher education degree (DCG, DSCG, or Master CCA)
• At least 5 years of successful experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel)
• Strong rigor and structured methodology
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with various departments
