General Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
• Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and financial statements
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations for cash, AP, AR, payroll, and intercompany accounts
• Track capital projects, monitor CIP balances, and process asset capitalization
• Assist with inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, and monthly close entries
• Support annual financial audits, tax filings, and internal controls testing
• Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and streamline processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5+ years of experience in general accounting
• Experience in manufacturing, inventory, or cost accounting
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CMA certification
