Gearbox Technician Level II

Responsibilities

• Disassemble industrial gearboxes and mainshafts at a proficient level
• Safely operate all shop equipment, including mechanical presses and overhead cranes
• Read and comprehend technical drawings and bills of materials (BOMs)
• Outfit external electrical and lubrication systems
• Perform scheduled gear inspections for reuse and take ownership of quality event resolution
• Complete accurate quality documentation and labor entry for work orders
• Support warehouse operations through cycle counting, physical inventory, and shipment assistance

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Proven experience operating overhead cranes
• Experience operating forklifts and heating/cutting torches
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform hands-on tasks in an industrial shop environment for extended periods
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a background check/drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade school certification or technical degree
• Familiarity with Hytorc equipment
• Demonstrated proficiency in all Level 1 technician competencies
