GDS Application Developer

Responsibilities

• Create and update Sabre scripts and Sabre Red apps to enhance travel consultant workflows
• Convert legacy Sabre Scribe code into modern Sabre Red apps using TypeScript
• Design and implement API integrations to streamline PNR process workflows
• Provide day-to-day technical support, including troubleshooting defects and answering internal customer queries
• Research and respond to support tickets and change requests
• Coordinate the implementation and testing of new customer requirements
• Thoroughly test and document application functionality to ensure high-quality performance

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the travel industry
• 2+ years of experience developing Sabre Scribe or Sabre Red apps
• 3+ years of hands-on experience using Sabre GDS
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to work at least half of a scheduled shift during US business hours (Central Time)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude
• Experience modernizing or converting legacy travel systems
• Knowledge of REST APIs and system integrations
• Experience with other GDS platforms such as Amadeus or TravelPort
• Proficiency with issue-tracking tools like Jira or FreshService
