GDP Engineer Product Development

Responsibilities

• Support automotive adhesive product development from concept to customer approval
• Prepare formulations, samples, and lab tests for product evaluation
• Plan experiments, analyze data, and document results with clear traceability
• Perform material characterization and application testing, including adhesion, peel, shear, cure behavior, and aging resistance
• Screen raw materials and suppliers to improve cost and performance
• Support scale-up to pilot and production and help troubleshoot technical issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to customer updates
• Follow EHS, quality, and lab continuous improvement standards

Requirements

• Ph.D. or degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Polymer Science
• Hands-on lab mindset with strong interest in formulation and testing
• Analytical thinking and a structured, detail-oriented working style
• Strong documentation discipline and safety awareness
• Proficiency in Excel; JMP or Minitab knowledge is a plus
• Basic statistics or DoE knowledge is an advantage
• Clear communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship, thesis, or project experience in polymers or adhesives
• Experience with automotive or industrial adhesive testing
• Exposure to customer-facing technical support or product development
