GCP Network L2 Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement and deploy GCP cloud-based solutions including VPC peering, WAF Cloud Armour, and Google native LB
• Configure and deploy Network Virtual Appliances (NVA) such as Cisco FTD and Citrix LBs
• Manage SSL certificate renewals and firewall port openings in GCP Cloud
• Coordinate cloud interconnect and network troubleshooting between on-premises infrastructure and Google Cloud
• Administer routing and switching, including Cisco Nexus switches, TOR switches, and Load balancers (Citrix/F5)
• Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for BAVA scanning and remediation
• Provide third-level support, root cause analysis, and capacity planning
• Lead network automation initiatives using Python or Ansible
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant solutions

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science
• 4+ years of experience in configuration and administration of complex cloud networks
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, NTP, and DHCP
• Experience with Cisco routers, Nexus switches, and Load balancers (Citrix/F5)
• Proficiency in routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, VRF, and VXLAN
• Experience with Cisco ASA Firewall, FTD, and FMC

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Citrix NetScaler (SDX, MPX, VPX) or F5 Load balancers
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus platform (9K, 7K, 5K, 2K)
• Experience with VPC, VDC, STP, Port-channel, and VLAN
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CCSP, GCP, or Citrix LB certifications
