GCP Infra Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and continuously improve the GCP foundation platform to support scalable application deployments
• Engineer infrastructure solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
• Design and deploy modular, cloud-native systems following industry best practices
• Integrate and manage cloud services including IAM, VPC networking, logging, and containers
• Manage Software Defined Networking (SDN) within GCP environments
• Ensure compliance with security policies, including network, firewall, and OS hardening
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing to enable efficient software delivery
• Work with BigQuery for data load jobs and performance tuning
• Debug and troubleshoot Spark jobs and support data processing workflows
• Collaborate with clients to provide cloud support and infrastructure recommendations

Requirements

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience with core GCP services (GCE, GKE, IAM, Cloud Storage, VPC, etc.)
• Strong expertise in Terraform for infrastructure automation
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery and Spark-based data processing
• Working knowledge of Microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD toolchains
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and operational risk frameworks
• Understanding of the Telecom domain

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data ingestion and ETL tools like Sqoop, Flume, NiFi, or Logstash
• Experience with messaging systems such as Apache Kafka
• Experience with workflow orchestration using Google Cloud Composer
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts
