GC/MS Scientist- Extractables & Leachables

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of bio/pharmaceutical ingredients and products using GC/MS to evaluate extractable and leachable compounds
• Prepare and review standards and samples for analysis and operate various instrumentation independently
• Troubleshoot and resolve instrumental and method-related problems
• Ensure data quality by reviewing laboratory results for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to GMP/GLP regulations
• Write detailed investigations and support multiple projects simultaneously
• Suggest process improvements and provide training to newer analysts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or a related field
• 2 years of GMP laboratory experience
• 1 year of industry experience with GC/MS
• Authorization to work in the US indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating GC/MS and/or ICP systems
• Direct experience with extractables and leachables testing
• Knowledge of ISO 10993 and/or ISO 18562 testing standards
• Experience in a cGMP, GLP, and/or ISO 17025 compliant laboratory
• Experience with method development, validation, and identifying unknown compounds via mass spec
• Background or education in polymeric materials
