About the role

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, inspections, and troubleshooting on gas transmission and distribution systems with limited supervision.
Calibrate, diagnose, and maintain transmitters, flow computers (RTUs), chromatographs, and other EFM equipment.
Conduct detailed corrosion surveys, including close-interval readings, and repair rectifiers and test stations.
Lead preparations for in-line inspection runs and support tool launching and receiving.
Inspect and maintain valves, regulators, and relief devices according to established procedures.
Execute preventive maintenance at compressor stations and identify equipment defects.
Lead safe leak repair site setups, including barricading and hazard controls.
Mentor and train junior technicians on testing methods and documentation standards.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of field documentation submitted by crews.
Analyze measurement data to resolve issues related to volume, pressure, temperature, and gas quality.
Respond to One Calls to protect company assets from third-party damage.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of trade school.
At least 3 years of related experience in gas transmission or distribution.
Proficiency in natural gas measurement practices, including ultrasonic measurement, RTUs, and analyzers.
Strong knowledge of pipeline operations and corrosion control.
Demonstrated proficiency in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and regulatory compliance.
Experience with EFM equipment, flow computers, and chromatographs.
