Gas Plant Production Technician

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, maintain, and troubleshoot steam methane reformers, CO2 purification, and high purity helium systems.
• Monitor plant systems for abnormalities and respond to alarms to ensure 24/7 delivery of high purity gas.
• Provide 24-hour on-call support on a rotating basis for hydrogen, CO2, and liquid bulk production plants.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance by purging, cleaning, flushing, and isolating energy sources.
• Assist in the repair and maintenance of compressors, valves, pumps, cooling towers, and analyzers.
• Maintain historical records of equipment maintenance and perform functional testing prior to customer acceptance.
• Comply with all HS&E standards, including PPE, Lock Out/Tag Out, and Confined Space Entry programs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Technical Associates degree preferred.
• 6+ years of technical training or operations experience.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, rotating equipment, and piping systems.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in non-conditioned environments.
• Ability to climb ladders, work on elevated platforms, and enter confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts, man lifts, or overhead cranes.
• Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA regulations.
• Proficiency with Google and Microsoft software.
