About the role

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate, maintain, and troubleshoot steam methane reformers, CO2 purification, and high purity helium systems.
  • Monitor plant systems for abnormalities and respond to alarms to ensure 24/7 delivery of high purity gas.
  • Provide 24-hour on-call support on a rotating basis for hydrogen, CO2, and liquid bulk production plants.
  • Prepare systems for maintenance by purging, cleaning, flushing, and isolating energy sources.
  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of compressors, valves, pumps, cooling towers, and analyzers.
  • Maintain historical records of equipment maintenance and participate in the site's Safe Work Permit program.
  • Perform functional testing of equipment and troubleshoot gas delivery systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 6+ years of technical training or operations experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, rotating equipment, and piping systems.
  • Ability to work shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in Google and Microsoft software.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in non-conditioned environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical Associate's degree.
  • Experience operating forklifts, man lifts, or overhead cranes.
  • Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA regulations.
