Gas Originator

Responsibilities

• Identify, initiate, and structure natural gas purchase and sale contracts with local and regional counterparties
• Build and maintain a strong network of market participants, monitoring trends and legislative developments
• Negotiate contractual terms and coordinate with legal and risk management teams
• Analyze market fundamentals and prices using quantitative models to identify trading opportunities
• Monitor contract performance, logistics, and settlement processes
• Represent the company at industry events
• Monitor legislative changes and ensure organizational compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in origination, trading, sales, or business development in the energy sector
• Proven track record in negotiating energy trading or supply transactions in Romania or Eastern Europe
• Strong knowledge of the Romanian energy market and regulatory framework
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Professional fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with local/regional energy suppliers, traders, or large industrial consumers in Romania
• Knowledge of cross-border gas trading regulations and logistics
• Understanding of related energy products such as electricity
