Garment Technologist

Responsibilities

• Support department strategy and contribute towards business targets
• Deliver optimized end-to-end development and virtual fitting processes
• Build new processes and technologies to support continuous improvement in quality and speed to market
• Review and update the ASOS technical manual for quality and construction standards
• Implement supplier Quality performance strategy to improve customer quality perception
• Support the shift from Quality Control to Quality Assurance across production stages
• Execute departmental customer returns strategy to drive reduction in returns rates
• Drive technical capabilities within the supplier base

Requirements

• Significant experience in a Garment Technologist role
• Extensive knowledge of multi-product fitting and Inclusive sizing
• Specialization in Knitwear, Denim, Jersey, Softs, Tailoring, or Outerwear
• Expert knowledge of pattern cutting and grading
• Experience working within a high street retailer or supplier/manufacturer
• Strong communication and networking skills across all levels
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Business-level English language skills (written and verbal)
