Garage Door Installer

Responsibilities

• Pick up all doors and parts from warehouse
• Install new garage doors for residential customers
• Remove existing door and mechanical parts
• Replace worn or broken door parts using tools
• Assemble mechanical parts
• Install springs, sections, slats, and hardware
• Run wiring to connect equipment
• Lubricate and test mechanical parts for proper functioning
• Educate customers on upgraded parts and services and ensure satisfaction
• Document activities related to installations
• Dispose of uninstalled garage doors and parts if applicable

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience as a garage door installer
• Valid driver's license for at least 3 years with a clean record
• Ability to lift 75lbs and lift garage door panels above head
• Physical ability to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for long periods
• Expertise with power tools and hand tools
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
• Basic math and reading skills
• Professional appearance and customer service skills
