Garage Door Installer

Responsibilities

• Install new garage doors for residential customers
• Remove existing doors and mechanical parts
• Replace worn or broken door parts using tools
• Assemble mechanical parts including springs, sections, slats, and hardware
• Run wiring to connect equipment
• Lubricate and test mechanical parts for proper functioning
• Educate customers on upgraded parts and services
• Document installation activities
• Pick up doors and parts from the warehouse

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of garage door installation experience
• Expertise with power tools and hand tools
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record
• Physically able to lift 75lbs and lift garage door panels above head
• Ability to bend, climb, kneel, and stand on ladders for long periods
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
• Basic math and reading skills for measurements and payments
• Proficiency with navigation apps and basic computer/tablet use
