Game Designer

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and development of comprehensive Game Design Documents (GDDs)
• Design and analyse fair, balanced mathematical models, systems, and content
• Write and refine game rules and mechanics to ensure clarity and user engagement
• Maintain high standards of documentation to ensure clear communication across teams
• Work alongside designers and developers to problem-solve and create innovative game concepts
• Conduct playtests, gather feedback, and suggest design improvements
• Monitor competitor products, industry trends, and emerging game mechanics
• Apply a data-driven design mindset to adjust gameplay and balance based on user feedback and metrics
• Collaborate with Tech, Art, QA, and Product departments to ensure design alignment

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in game design or related field
• Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field
• Good understanding of game mechanics and mathematical models
• Excellent documentation skills with high attention to detail
• Familiarity with design tools like Figma and version control systems
• Basic understanding of game audio design
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Cocos Creator or Unity
• Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA
• Fluency in English and Chinese Mandarin
• Experience incorporating AI tools into workflows
