Game Architect

Responsibilities

• Realize the creative vision of Merge Dragons by providing strategic technical direction and defining architectural standards.
• Spearhead the development of critical, high-reliability systems and contribute to technical roadmaps.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies to solve complex business needs.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and skills development to senior engineers and software developers.
• Ensure technical feasibility and resource allocation for new game features.
• Lead highly complex projects requiring technical harmonization across multiple systems and disciplines.
• Represent the studio's technical views in corporate-level technical programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in software development or a similar role.
• Expert-level knowledge in technical architecture and programming.
• Proven experience in system design and backend integration.
• Strategic understanding of game design with the ability to collaborate with creative and technical art teams.
• Hands-on approach to debugging and resolving complex technical problems.
• Experience in stakeholder management, facilitation, and mentoring technology teams.
