Fusion Island Power Cycle Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of the Fusion Island power cycle, including cooling systems, thermodynamic cycles, and primary heat exchangers
• Define and govern the overall power cycle design architecture and fundamental safety approach
• Resolve complex, cross-cutting technical issues across disciplines
• Write key engineering deliverables including system design descriptions and safety analysis inputs
• Lead a multidisciplinary team and manage design change control processes
• Report design status, risks, and issues to the Fusion Island Group Leader

Requirements

• M.Sc. in nuclear engineering or aerospace engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams
• Advanced experience in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
• Experience in thermal-hydraulics
• Deep knowledge of fluid dynamics, safety analyses principles, and design basis development
• Knowledge of nuclear reactor physics
• Understanding of thermodynamic cycles, mechanical analyses, and I&C
• Experience with requirements management, RAMI, licensing, and project scheduling

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Fusion Reactor knowledge
• Experience with fusion technology
