Furs For Life South Africa Manager

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong relationships with key partners, including religious and cultural groups such as the Nazareth Baptist Church and CONTRALESSA.
• Identify and approach traditional communities open to using synthetic fur for cultural ceremonies.
• Manage the commercialization of Heritage Fur garments, including distribution and sales to customers and third-party traders.
• Assist in managing the South African project budget in accordance with donor and Panthera guidelines.
• Contribute to fundraising efforts and the preparation of financial and technical donor reports.
• Oversee South African field staff and ensure project integration with other Panthera activities.
• Develop and oversee community surveys to gauge the reception of synthetic fur.
• Represent Panthera in external meetings and travel to rural and traditional community areas as required.

Requirements

• Honours Degree in conservation science, social science, business administration, or management.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Fluency in verbal and written English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with specific expertise in Excel.
• Strong attention to detail.
