Furniture Shader Sprayer

Responsibilities

• Apply stains, toners, dyes, and polyurethane coatings using spray equipment to achieve accurate color matches and uniform finishes.
• Read and interpret drawings and routings to understand product specifications and required finishing processes.
• Sand and tack components between coating applications to ensure proper surface preparation and finish quality.
• Inspect finished work to identify defects and perform necessary touch-ups or corrections to meet quality standards.
• Maintain spray equipment, including routine cleaning of spray guns and performing minor repairs or material changes.
• Set up and maintain finishing area equipment such as booth filters, band support rollers, and part carriers.
• Adhere to all safety standards, recycling procedures, and proper disposal protocols for chemicals.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and apply lean manufacturing principles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED), or equivalent work experience demonstrating competency.
• Previous experience in furniture finishing.
• Proficiency using spray guns and air palm sanders.
• Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS) when handling chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to match numbers from shop orders to specific stain numbers.
